Alex is a DipWSET-certified sommelier, co-founder of Canadian-based non-alc distribution business, Somm Zero and a judge at wine and alc-free competitions in British Colombia. He's also a co-founder of Vino Zero, a business specialising in non-alc beverages and training support for hospitality and events in the UK. 

Wine is his go-to AF drink of choice - something which he says helps him to 'maintain balance and clarity while growing my business', but at WAFA he's also looking forward to getting stuck into any bitters that come in. 'I love how versatile they are - how they can bring so much depth and complexity to almost any beverage,' he says.

Finding some really great submissions would be nearly as thrilling as climbing telecoms towers, which he used to do for a living in the dim and distant past. His highest peak was a nerve-jangling 600 feet!
