Lana Svitankova

Lana is a Ukrainian beer writer, educator, and international beer judge with more than a decade of experience in the beer industry. Currently, she is working with a few educational beer projects, and sating her wanderlust by judging beers around the globe, telling the world the story of Ukrainian beer along the way - something which has brought her a number of awards.
Lana has been fascinated by the rapid development of the flavour of non-alcoholic beer, and became an avid fan and champion early in their development, eager to discover the newest and best options on the market. To make this new love official, she completed the AFicioNAdo™ Certification Program a few years ago, which gave her a deeper insight into the different production techniques and styles of alcohol-free beers.
Beer-wise, she's also a Certified BJCP Judge and a Certified Cicerone as well as a Certified Mead Judge (BJCP), a Certified Sake Sommelier (SSA), and a Cheese State Scholar.
She drinks coffee for flavour, not caffeine, but can’t live a day without one. She is also a runner (slow, but steady!), a cat person, and a travel junkie.
