Ségolène Bakes

Segolène initially stopped drinking 'for a couple of months' two years ago. But during that time she discovered (WAFA judge) Jérome Cuny's alcohol-free bottle shop, La Cave Parallèle, in Nantes. Intrigued by what was on offer, she visited the non-alc show Degré Zéro and alcohol-free zones at Wine Paris and she was hooked.
She opened the second Cave Parallèle in Aix, in the South of France and has been fully sober since September 2024, taking delight in discovering new products and introducing them to her customers.
'I'm particularly attracted to spirits for the wide choice of tastes on offer,' she says, 'And I'm increasingly drawn to functional drinks as well.'
In her spare time, Ségolène loves walking in the Provence countryside with her Jack Russell, admiring 'our beautiful Saint Victoire, painted by Cézanne'.
