Dupe Witherick

Dupe is the founder of Thrive Alcohol Free Ltd and an alcohol-free wellbeing and transformational coach - her mission: to change society's perception of alcohol. 'Everyone should have a choice of what they have in their glass,' she says. 'Alcohol-free drinks can fundamentally change certain age groups and cultures to develop a healthier relationship with alcohol.'

Dupe has tasted hundreds of AF drinks since quitting drinking four years ago. Her favourite category is alcohol-free fizz, which she drinks when socialising with friends and family and celebrating the milestone events that occur in everyone's lives.

At WAFA she's most looking forward to grappling with the red wines, because it's always the hardest drink style in which to find great substitutes. 'My clients often struggle to find alternatives that work for them,' she says. 'It will be great to see how they've improved and find a few more to recommend to them when the results come out!'

Certainly Dupe isn't likely to be daunted by such a challenge, since she climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in 2020 for charity - something she describes as an 'incredible experience'. A lucky one too, since a week after getting back the UK went into Covid lockdown for several months!
