Oscar Dodd
Oscar has worked in the world of drinks since the age of 18, when he cut his teeth at the local Oddbins off-licence. Here, he was bitten by the wine bug, before moving out into absinthe, whisky and, of course, eventually no- and low-alcohol. He buys all the wines, spirits and NoLo drinks for prestigious retailer Fortnum & Mason in London.
His favourite alcohol-free category is sparkling tea which he sees as a great new way to experience drinking tea, as well as being an outstanding sparkling wine substitute.
'It offers aromatic depth, complexity of flavour, tannic quality, mouthfeel and identical serving ritual,' he says.
He sees spirits as a bigger challenge and, as a result, is particularly looking forward to finding some great new ones during the judging process. Oscar is also 'excited to taste the offerings from producers working with nootropics.'
In his spare time, he's a practitioner of Wing Chun kung fu.
