Fever Tree announced as competition mixer partner

7 November 2022

The World Alcohol-Free Awards is thrilled to announce that its approved Mixer Partner is to be Fever Tree.

All drinks (though presumably mostly spirits!) that enter the competition have the right to select whether they are to be tasted neat or with one of four mixers: soda, tonic, ginger beer or cola. All of those will be provided by Fever Tree.

'Allowing entrants to choose how and what they are tasted with is a key part of our competition,' explained the World Alcohol-Free Awards' Head of Judging, Chrissie Parkinson. 'It means that all products are judged exactly how they are meant to be tasted. To do that it was incredibly important to us to find a partner who was able to provide consistently excellent mixers across the board - and in Fever Tree we are confident we've found just such a company.'

Fever Tree has gone from strength to strength since its foundation in 2004, with over 50 different mixers globally, including flavoured and un-flavoured sodas, ginger beers and ales, cola, lemonades and a wide variety of tonics. The company's name is a reference to the cinchona tree, which provides the quinine used in tonic water. Used to treat malaria, it was known as the fever tree.

'We are delighted to be supporting the World Alcohol-Free Awards in its debut year,' said Hattie Corneille, senior customer marketing manager for the on-trade. 'It’s incredibly exciting to see that non-alcoholic spirit choice is evolving – a trend which seems set to continue.

'Flavoured and carefully crafted non-alcoholic white and dark spirits are all growing, with people becoming more and more experimental with their drink choice. We believe offering variety is key and we are looking forward to seeing how this will continue to develop in the future.'

Anyone wanting to enter their drink - spirit or otherwise - into the competition needs to fill in their entry form by February 6th and ensure that bottles are with the World Alcohol-Free Awards' logistics provider by February 13th. So don't delay! Hit the button on the top right and register today!
